I just wanted to address this issue since the new character sheets for SM:Crystal were released. I know sometimes our nostalgia glasses get in the way, and we forget that even our beloved, original Sailor Moon anime was not perfection. I’m very much looking forward to the new Sailor Moon as much as I adore the old, and I hope we can all keep our minds (and hearts) open for what’s to come!
ive been saying this all along. there were SO many people who animated sailor moon. all with varying styles. If you can live with Ando, then you can live with this person. I for one can’t stand Ando’s style, but I didn’t bitch and complain about it every single time an episode featuring his animation came up. I just dealt with it because I like sailor moon.

Ahem. But yeah, you’re right, the originals were -far- from perfect and actually happened to be a little bit of a clusterfuck of similar-but-nonstandardized styles. So we can get used to it, I think. (If they fix those FUCKING LEG PROPORTIONS FFS)
