“I’m not vaccinating my kids because they’ll build up immunity naturally anyway”

You know that vaccinations have been linked to autism and other shit, right?
If by “linked to” you mean “have been repeatedly and conclusively found not to cause autism in numerous studies save one methodologically fucked, biased, thoroughly debunked and repudiated study from a disgraced quack doctor who has since been stripped of his credentials” then yes, I do know that.
Every time someone says vaccinations are linked to autism, a scientists somewhere starts crying.
Oh, and by the by even IF it was linked (IT IS NOT) good to know some people would rather their child die of a perfectly preventable disease than get autism, nice to know they got their priorities straight like that.
One: Vaccinations have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH AUTISM. Period. End of story. That’s been debunked over and over and over again, so hard that we’ve practically buried the dead, beaten horse in its own dust. The autism link to vaccinations is dead. It does not exist. It never existed. Stop saying it exists. Do a little research into it from legitimate, honest sources, not whatever the fuck what’s-her-face-I’ve-forgotten-because-she-induces-rage is pushing these days.
Two: Vaccines are WONDERFUL things. You try and use the “well I wasn’t vaccinated, and I turned out fine” argument? Congratulations. You benefited from herd immunity. Your ass got lucky and got saved by everyone else being immunized and you never got around any carriers or sources. It does not mean immunization did nothing. Do not take that risk with your child, period. Worried about the kid getting sick from the vaccines? It’s okay. See above, it does not mean the immunization did nothing. Yes, the child may be sick for a few days, having caught a lesser, weakened form of the virus, or feeling the effects of the immune system fighting and cleansing the dead virus. That’s okay. That means it worked. Have them treated properly - it will be far, far, far safer than if they caught the actual virus they’re being made immune to. These things are expected, and again - far safer than catching the wild, unvaccinated virus.
