This is so extra funny to me, because no. No they don’t. They don’t get sarcasm, they don’t get fatalism, they take everything we say 100% serious unless explicitly told otherwise. We often joke that we’re fluent in sarcasm but it truly is a foreign language to them. THIS IS WHY THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND US.
