Protect them from what?

Lesbian trans girls and gay trans boys face a lot more stigma from both the LGBT+ community and society than other trans people for a number of reasons on top of the stigma and and dangers trans people already face, most often with questions such as “why not just be a straight girl or boy” or people outright telling them that they are faking being trans under the assumption that you cannot be transgender and gay at the same time, as gender and sexuality are very different things and completely different concepts.
