STAGNANT IN A TEACUP
This is how I’m feeling recently. I work in a microbiology lab and spend lots of hours looking at Petri dishes full of rotting matter. Sometimes something will grow in the Petri dishes that suppresses the growth of the other micro-organisms in there. That’s how my life has been feeling recently, a small, decaying microcosm; stagnant and overgrown, mould suffocating everything else from growing. Even tea doesn’t taste good any more.
I’m pulling myself out of it, slowly. After all, rotting matter is the best fertiliser for new growth.
Shamelessly inspired by the beautiful installations by Pip and Pop (http://www.pipandpop.com.au/). Look at them! Ahhhh <3
